NEXTGEN helps players and families understand what the next realistic football step could be. Depending on the player, that may mean development through the NEXTGEN Africa Team, a self funded academy programme in Europe, a sponsored route for exceptional talent with financial need, or a different recommendation.
NEXTGEN does not guarantee professional football. Our role is to make the route clearer and safer through better information, stronger development, clear responsibilities and informed decisions.
We build around the player, the family and the future.
NEXTGEN does not see a young player as one trial, transfer or contract. When we commit to a player, the aim is to build a long term plan with the player and family: develop the footballer, make informed decisions, navigate opportunities and stay protected as the career grows.
Support changes as the player grows. Early needs may centre on football development, education, welfare, travel and family communication. As the career becomes more professional, support can expand to career guidance, commercial awareness, independent advice, family planning and life after football.
For players on a longer term pathway, priorities are reviewed as circumstances change. That can include match performance, technical and physical development, education or language, contract situation, welfare, travel or relocation, and the next 12 month objective.
The player grows. The protection grows with them.
The player and family remain in control of the career, decisions and future. NEXTGEN helps coordinate the right support around them. Legal, tax, financial and other specialist advice should come from the appropriate independent professionals. Football agent representation remains a separate regulated relationship.

Foundation support must stand on its own: an independently awarded Foundation benefit is not conditional on appointing a particular football agent, buying Academy services or using private Family Office services. Funding never creates transfer, representation or player selection rights.
Current focus: Spain, the UK and Africa
The European Academy Pathway currently focuses on Spain and the United Kingdom. The NEXTGEN Africa Team creates a development route for selected African players. The Sponsored Academy Pathway can also consider talented players worldwide when sporting suitability, mindset, safeguarding and funding align.

NEXTGEN’s mission goes beyond finding professional football players. As the Foundation grows, we aim to strengthen the environments where young people develop through responsible public benefit projects.
Building or renovating football pitches and creating safer sporting environments.
Supporting schools, classrooms, educational equipment and learning opportunities.
Supporting coaches, youth development programmes, welfare initiatives and community facilities.
Scholarships, scouting, development, education, welfare and approved pathway support.

Give Back can help support future players, education, welfare, football development and community projects. NEXTGEN does not acquire ownership of players or control their sporting careers.
Public benefit work is separated from private and commercial activity.
Charitable and social impact activities, including scholarships, youth development, education, welfare and community projects.
Paid and commercial academy programmes operate separately from Foundation funds.
Any regulated football agent activity is carried out separately through appropriately licensed structures.
Private player and family administrative services operate separately from the Foundation.
Clear separation: donations and charitable funds are not used to subsidize unrelated private or commercial activities.
Responsible use of resources is part of the mission.
