NEXTGEN welcomes Red Lion Soccer Academy to its Football Network. Based in Obo, Kwahu, Ghana, Red Lion is a nonprofit residential academy supporting young players through football development, daily guidance and access to education.
Football development across three age groups
The academy currently operates U13, U15 and U18 teams. Its residential structure gives players a consistent environment in which to train, develop and receive support beyond individual sessions or short events.
Football and education together
Red Lion is run by volunteers and works with partner schools that provide education for its players. This approach connects sporting development with academic growth and reflects the importance of preparing the person as well as the footballer.
Connected local expertise
Football coach and scout Robert Attafuah Annafi joins the NEXTGEN Advisory Network separately, adding local knowledge of developing young players, scouting and player support.

Red Lion Soccer Academy adds a Ghanaian development environment rooted in its community to the NEXTGEN Football Network. Network participation supports communication and responsible cooperation but does not guarantee any player a selection, sponsorship, scholarship, trial, transfer or contract.
