NEXTGEN believes a good football agent can be an important part of a player’s career. The Player First Football Agent Agreement is designed to make that relationship clearer, fairer and focused on the player’s sporting and professional interests.
The player comes first
- The agent advises and creates opportunities, but the player makes the final sporting decision.
- Material club approaches and offers should be disclosed promptly.
- A disagreement about agent remuneration should not become a veto over a legitimate player opportunity.
- Fees, payment responsibility and material conflicts should be transparent.
- Where lawful, reasonable efforts should be made to obtain payment of the agreed player side agent fee from the engaging club or another permitted entity before the player pays personally.
- The same player side fee should not be collected twice.
Representation should protect the career, not control it
The private NEXTGEN framework is built around workable player freedom, clean handover, no retaliation and fair protection for genuine agent work. One completed deal should not automatically create control over every future club, country or opportunity.

Where the player authorises it, NEXTGEN may receive material transparency information and help coordinate independent legal or welfare support. This does not make NEXTGEN the football agent and does not create agent commission for NEXTGEN.

The representation agreement should stand on its own
Agent representation should clearly identify the parties, services, duration, fee responsibility and the rules that apply. It remains separate from the player’s employment contract, any club to club transfer agreement and any NEXTGEN Foundation support.
